Watch Canvas for the new Spring and Fall course release
Your new Spring and Fall 2022 courses will appear in Canvas dashboard Mar. 15. The new courses might replace older courses in view, including those from Spring 2022. If you want to add the older courses back, “favorite them” by clicking on the star beside those you want displayed. Learn more about managing which courses appear in your dashboard here. If you want to combine multiple courses sections, use the Canvas Request System.

Try UDOIT, the new universal design tool on Canvas
It’s good to ensure your online course materials are digitally accessible — but it can also be challenging. The content assistant, Universal Design Online Inspection Tool (UDOIT, you do it), is here to help.
When you enable UDOIT in your course and scan your Canvas site, it flags issues that might create barriers for students with disabilities and provides guidance for fixing those issues.
UDOIT can be especially helpful for your required QCRs. Several QCR standards address digital accessibility and inclusivity. To learn more about using UDOIT before the QCR kickoff window closes Mar. 31, read UDOIT: Putting digital accessibility within reach.
If you have general questions about making your online course a more inclusive space, contact us via email to set up a meeting with an instructional designer.
