Spark Student Connection in VoiceThread
Enrich your course learning communities with VoiceThread. With this application, instructors and students can comment directly on any media they select, using a variety of methods. Collaborate, critique, debate and connect around a video, PDF, PowerPoint — or any digital media item.
It’s easy to add VoiceThread to your course as content or as an assignment. VoiceThread grades flow directly into Canvas, simplifying assignment creation and assessment.
Examples include:
- Instructors share lectures and allow students to ask questions at precisely the spot they choose.
- Students demonstrate how they solved a complicated math problem, showing their process.
- Students work in groups to deliver a presentation to the entire class, then their classmates post questions and receive answers.
After our VoiceThread to Canvas integration update on May 12, your VoiceThread content will copy smoothly into next semester’s courses, so you will not need to recreate links. In addition, a new roster-sync feature will automatically load students into your VoiceThread course group.
Note: We suggest waiting until after the May 12 update to create your Canvas course content copies. This will eliminate any need to recreate links.
